Qualifications and Experience Needed:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Massachusetts (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience working in a school setting is essential
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapeutic services through both individual and group sessions
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school professionals to support student success
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Engage with families and caregivers to share strategies and progress updates
