As an SLP with your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), you will serve schools in the Frederick, MD area, collaborating closely with educators, students, and families to promote communication skills and student success. The caseload spans a variety of ages, providing the chance to grow your expertise across elementary, middle, and high school settings.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in Maryland (or eligibility for expedited licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with a K-12 caseload preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school environment
- Passion for helping young people achieve their academic and social goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students with speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver therapy sessions individually or in groups
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
