Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active SLP license in Maine (or eligibility to obtain).
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) welcomed.
- SLP Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of school-based SLP requirements and IEP processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized assessments.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and IEP goals.
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services to K-6 students in an engaging, supportive manner.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote strategies that generalize skills across environments.
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in accordance with school and state regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute professionally to the educational community.
