Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Fremont, CA

Take the next step in your career as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting elementary and preschool students in a thriving school environment. This position offers a dynamic schedule, working across two friendly school communities with the opportunity to make a significant impact from the start of the school year.

Responsibilities include delivering direct speech and language services, supporting existing SLPs with high student volumes, and conducting assessments to help manage caseload overloads. You will rotate between two elementary sites—one focusing on mild to moderate needs and the other serving general education and preschool students. While you’ll collaborate closely with site teams, you won’t be the main SLP at either location, allowing you to focus on specialized support and targeted assessments. Assignments will place you at one school per day, with the potential to switch locations throughout the week.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
• Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary or preschool populations
• Flexibility to work at multiple campuses and adapt to different school communities
• Ability to perform speech/language assessments and collaborate with established SLPs
• State licensure not required, but preferred by the district

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide supplemental speech and language services as needed
• Conduct assessments for students requiring evaluations
• Support SLP teams during periods of high caseloads
• Work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families
• Maintain thorough documentation in line with district policies

This contract position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., beginning September 25, 2026. The assignment continues until the district hires for the role internally.
