Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist during the Extended School Year (ESY) program from July 6th to August 14th. Working near Frewsburg, NY, you'll make a meaningful impact on students' communication and academic success while further developing your expertise in school-based speech therapy. With daily hours from 8:15 AM to 2:15 PM, this role offers a clear and consistent schedule focused on helping students thrive.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CFY welcome to apply)
- Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and collaboration within educational teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to K-12 students, addressing a variety of communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized goals based on student assessments and IEP requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress and generalization of skills
- Document therapy sessions, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Adapt therapy approaches to best support diverse learning styles and communication profiles
