This rewarding contract opportunity near Friendswood, TX is ideal for a dedicated SLP-CCC eager to be part of a supportive, collaborative school team delivering vital services to a diverse group of students.
You’ll enjoy a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, serving approximately 60 students through the end of the school year. You’ll support a dynamic caseload, including students from an ECSE classroom, a self-contained K-4 program, and a behavioral support program (with targeted intervention only for those students who require services). One day per week, you’ll have the flexibility to work remotely, allowing for work-life balance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid SLP license and ASHA CCCs required
- Minimum of one year school-based SLP experience (non-negotiable)
- Experience with pediatric and elementary-age populations
- Background in special education, including ECSE and self-contained environments, strongly preferred
- Prior Texas school experience is highly desirable
- Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in IEP documentation
- CF applicants cannot be considered for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement IEPs for eligible students
- Deliver direct therapy services and participate in team meetings
- Provide consultation for teachers and families regarding communication strategies
- Maintain timely records in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Work collaboratively across instructional and support teams
- Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) as needed for at-risk students
