Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Virginia Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
  • Previous experience working in a school environment is highly valued
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to provide onsite services (remote/virtual service is not an option for this role)
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students with IEPs and identified speech/language needs
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized therapy plans
  • Partner with educators, caregivers, and other professionals to foster a supportive learning environment
  • Conduct evaluations and participate in eligibility/IEP meetings as required
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress records in compliance with school and district guidelines
  • Stay up to date with the best practices and district standards for speech-language services
