Make a meaningful impact by providing essential speech-language services to a student using an AAC device in an educational setting near Fruitport, MI. This contract position offers a focused caseload, working with one student whose needs are specific and unique, making your expertise especially valuable. Sessions are scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m., with potential for virtual (VOCO) delivery for added convenience.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
  • Valid SLP license for the state of Michigan
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
  • Previous experience in pediatric, school, or healthcare SLP settings strongly preferred
  • Previous work with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices highly desirable
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech therapy sessions to one student, tailoring interventions to support effective AAC device use
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and maintain thorough session documentation
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to promote progress
  • Monitor and report on student outcomes and adjust strategies as needed
  • Deliver services on-site or via a virtual (VOCO) platform as mutually agreed upon
