Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Alabama SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Efficient at maintaining records and reporting progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to identify speech, language, and communication disorders
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals
- Deliver targeted therapy sessions—individually or in groups—fostering progress and participation
- Consult regularly with teachers, special educators, and families to support student achievement
- Monitor, document, and communicate student progress, making adjustments to programs as necessary
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
