Your knowledge of school-based SLP and proficiency with both in-person and teletherapy models are vital. You'll use cutting-edge strategies to assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication needs, cultivating a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology in Alabama
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings highly preferred
- Comfort providing both onsite and teletherapy services
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering student growth and equity
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students’ unique needs
- Deliver evidence-based therapy individually and in groups
- Regularly consult with teachers, parents, and other specialists
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports
- Flexibly provide services both onsite and through teletherapy platforms as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities
