Step into a fulfilling role supporting elementary students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. As a full-time team member, you’ll provide impactful services for pre-kindergarten through 5th grade students, managing a caseload of approximately 50. Your expertise will empower young learners to develop essential communication skills, paving the way for their academic and social success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- State licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology in Texas
- Previous experience with school-based caseloads; exposure to elementary/pre-k populations preferred
- Strong organizational skills to manage therapy sessions, IEP documentation, and communication with team members
- Passion for working with young children and a collaborative spirit
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized assessments and observations
- Develop and implement targeted intervention plans in collaboration with classroom teachers, parents, and other specialists
- Document progress, maintain thorough records, and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and provide consultative support to educational staff
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy services, both individually and in small groups
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs
