Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Galt, CA

Take your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to the next level with a contract opportunity beginning in January. This in-person role offers a unique blend of experiences across multiple educational settings, giving you the chance to make a meaningful impact on diverse student populations.

You’ll split your week between two separate sites: spending two days at an adult Special Day Class (SDC) program and an alternative education program, followed by four days at a dynamic high school. In the high school setting, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated 5-day-per-week SLP, focusing on case management responsibilities, conducting assessments, and leading IEP meetings to ensure all students receive robust support.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP
• Prior school-based experience preferred, especially with varied student populations
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative speech-language services across multiple school programs
• Serve as case manager for a diverse caseload, monitoring progress and documenting outcomes
• Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and evaluations
• Develop, update, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Attend and lead IEP meetings, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Support students in developing communication and social skills for academic and life success
