Step into a rewarding opportunity providing essential speech-language services at the middle school level for a maternity leave coverage this fall. This contract role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students during a formative stage of their education. Spanning from August through mid-November, you’ll be working full-time with a supportive school environment dedicated to student development.

What we’re looking for:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Maine
  • Experience working in schools, especially at the middle school level, preferred
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities
  • Ability to develop rapport with students and staff
  • Organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation requirements

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and service teams to promote student progress
  • Maintain accurate session notes and required documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute thoughtful input
  • Offer consultative support for staff regarding speech and language needs
  • Create an inclusive, encouraging environment where students thrive
