Exciting contract opportunity available for a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist eager to make a difference in educational settings near Garland, TX. This role involves providing essential support to students across a Junior High and Elementary campus, with additional coverage at a High School beginning later in the term. The assignment begins ASAP and extends through mid-November, offering meaningful work during key portions of the academic year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active SLP license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
  • Prior experience working in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Adaptable to different age groups, as responsibilities will span both junior high and elementary students, and later high school students

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, and families to facilitate student progress
  • Maintain organized records and documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal education regulations
  • Engage in assessment, goal development, and progress monitoring for students
  • Support the academic and social development of students with communication needs
