This contract-based position focuses on general education and speech improvement for a diverse caseload of K-6 students, with some middle and high school involvement. Serving a school community near Geneva, NY, you’ll have the chance to utilize your expertise in speech-language pathology to foster student growth and progress in a supportive environment.

Ideal candidates are experienced SLPs holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), with a passion for school-based therapy. Working predominantly in-person, you’ll address speech and language needs, ensuring each student reaches their full potential. Virtual service delivery may be considered as a contingency, but direct interaction is the priority for younger children.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current state licensure and ASHA CCC certification
  • Experience in school-based settings with K-12 populations
  • Comfortable managing a full-time caseload for an entire school year
  • Strong skills in GenEd, articulation, receptive/expressive language, and fluency—no nonverbal caseload
  • Effective communicator, collaborative, and adaptive to various student needs
  • Previous virtual therapy experience is helpful, but a preference for in-person service (especially with young children)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication goals
  • Conduct assessments, maintain documentation, and track student progress
  • Provide speech improvement interventions within a general education context
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team planning
