Step into a rewarding assignment making a difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist working full-time with a vibrant K-8 caseload. This contract position offers consistency and purpose, running from August 5th through May 23rd, with a 7-hour workday schedule. You’ll provide essential support to approximately 60 students, helping them reach their communication and educational goals in a nurturing school environment close to Georgiana, AL.

Qualifications:

  • Active SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Prior school-based experience (elementary and/or middle school preferred)
  • Comprehensive understanding of speech, language, and communication development in children
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and case management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassion, patience, and commitment to serving diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to students across grades K-8, targeting individual IEP goals
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments, interpreting results and sharing recommendations
  • Manage caseload documentation, write progress reports, and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in IEP meetings, developing individualized therapy plans with input from families and staff
  • Consult regularly with teachers and staff to support students' success in the classroom
  • Foster an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere that supports students’ communication skills and overall growth
