School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Gig Harbor, Washington

This contract opportunity runs through June 17, 2027, offering both full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time (4 days per week) positions, all in-person. Multiple openings are available—two serving elementary school students, one supporting a high school setting.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Washington State SLP License
• Possess the ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certificate
• Certified SLP-CCC required
• Prior experience in schools (elementary or high school preferred)
• Successfully fingerprinted through OSPI
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Enthusiastic, team-oriented professional committed to student growth

Responsibilities:

• Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy for students with speech and language disorders
• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), collaborating closely with general and special education teachers
• Keep detailed records of student progress and maintain required documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and support families through the process
• Deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions tailored to student needs
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and parents on communication concerns
• Maintain compliance with state and federal requirements
