Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting near Gig Harbor, WA. This opportunity begins with training that may start a few days prior to the first day of school on August 24, 2026, and runs through June 16, 2027, with a possible extension to June 23, 2027, depending on snow make-up days. This position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week and provides a competitive hourly rate between $50 and $65.

You’ll work with a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students, possibly ranging from preschool through age 22, with your specific assignment and location determined prior to the start date. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting communication and language outcomes for students and is comfortable adapting their approach for different age groups and settings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state license and certification for Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience in school settings highly desired
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize caseload needs effectively

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educational teams
  • Maintain accurate records, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to support student goals
  • Adapt services as needed for different educational environments and student needs
