School-Based Occupational Therapist – Functional Learning & Student Independence Specialist (2026/2027 School Year)

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate student performance related to fine motor, sensory, and adaptive functioning within the educational environment

• Develop individualized therapy goals and contribute to IEP development

• Provide direct occupational therapy services in classroom and small-group settings

• Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and classroom strategies to support student participation

• Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams to promote student independence

• Track progress and maintain accurate therapy documentation in accordance with district requirements

• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and assist with student eligibility and service planning

Experience:

• Experience working with children or adolescents preferred

• School-based or pediatric therapy experience is a plus

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills highly valued

• New graduates encouraged to apply

Education:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy

• Active California Occupational Therapist License required
