A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a K-12 school located in Glendale, AZ, for the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis. This role is ideal for an SLP with a passion for working with children in an educational setting and providing speech and language therapy to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student development
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy goals accordingly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting
- Eligibility for or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Strong knowledge of speech and language developmental milestones and disorders affecting children in grades K-12
- Ability to engage and motivate students while maintaining a professional and compassionate approach
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
