Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students across two school sites in the Glendale, CA area. Work with a diverse caseload of TK-6th grade students, including those with mild articulation needs, language deficits (ranging from mild to moderate disabilities), and some requiring AAC support. This full-time position allows you to make a meaningful difference throughout the Core School Year, Extended School Year, and Next School Year, tailoring services to help each child reach vital communication milestones.

Desired Background:

  • California SLP license and certification required
  • Experience in elementary (TK-6th), middle school, and Pre-K settings a plus
  • Familiarity serving students with articulation disorders, language delays/disabilities, and AAC needs
  • Comfortable working at multiple locations (2 school sites)
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently with school teams, families, and other specialists

Role Highlights:

  • Provide speech-language therapy for students with communication needs across a spectrum of abilities
  • Develop and implement IEP goals; monitor student progress
  • Consult with educators and families to facilitate generalization of skills to the classroom and home
  • Serve two sites weekly (2 days at one, 3 days at another); participate in school-based meetings and team planning
  • School 1: 7:45am–3:15pm; School 2: 8:15am–3:45pm
  • Start as soon as possible; finish the current school year by June 11, continue through the ESY (June 17–July 17), and/or join for the next school year beginning August 5
