Step into a dynamic school-based role supporting students' communication needs for a long-term assignment. A passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to serve a caseload of 41 students from September 14th through March 1st, 2027. If you are an SLPA, you are welcome to apply as long as a supervising SLP can be arranged. This contract position also involves working with 1-2 students at an alternative education center.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to a diverse caseload, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and evidence-based interventions.
- Complete comprehensive assessments, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings to support collaborative student progress.
- Provide occasional services for select students at a nearby alternative education center, adapting approaches as needed.
- Maintain thorough documentation and communication with teachers, families, and colleagues to ensure consistency in care.
- Engage, motivate, and inspire students to achieve their communication goals throughout the academic year.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team and participate actively in school-related professional activities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or completion of an accredited SLPA program.
- Active Indiana licensure as an SLP (CCC strongly preferred) or SLPA.
- For SLPA candidates, willingness to coordinate with an available supervising SLP.
- Experience working in a K-12 school setting or similar pediatric environment preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt to a variety of student needs and educational settings.
