Step into an engaging onsite role supporting elementary students in an autism program, working as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) during a maternity leave. This full-time contract position offers a consistent schedule, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:40 pm. Located conveniently in the Liberty area, you'll join a dedicated school-based team and make a meaningful difference in students’ growth and communication skills.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license, valid for school settings
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations, especially in autism programs, is highly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Ability to quickly adapt and integrate into established classroom routines
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapeutic services to students within the school's autism program
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans focused on speech, language, and communication needs
- Collaborate effectively with educators, school administrators, and families to support each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes in accordance with school standards
- Participate in team meetings and share recommendations for student support
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and school district regulations specific to special education services
