Step into a dynamic role as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working with an elementary caseload in a supportive school environment near Grain Valley, MO. This contract position allows you to make a meaningful impact, helping students develop vital communication skills that shape their academic and social success.

As an SLP in this setting, you’ll provide therapeutic services to students, many with limited communication abilities. Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices is highly valued, as you'll be guiding students in using these tools to express themselves in their everyday school life.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP in Missouri
  • Prior experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
  • Knowledge or experience supporting students using AAC devices is strongly preferred
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with teachers, parents, and support staff
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented atmosphere

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students on your caseload
  • Assess communication skills and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Implement, monitor, and adjust therapy plans based on student progress
  • Train and support staff and caregivers in the effective use of AAC devices and strategies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and state requirements
