A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a school setting located in Grand Blanc, MI. This contract role offers the opportunity to support young learners from kindergarten through second grade, working with an engaging caseload of 30-40 students. The position begins as soon as possible and continues until June 15, 2026, with potential for renewal in the following fall.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K-2 students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain clear and detailed documentation of student assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts to enhance student outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license and certification (SLP, SLP-CCC, or SLP-CFY preferred).
- Experience working with early elementary-aged students (K-2).
- Strong knowledge of school-based speech therapy protocols and best practices.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 30-40 students efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and educational staff.
This contract role offers a part-time schedule of approximately 21 hours per week, allowing for a balanced workload while making a significant impact on students' communication development.
