This role spans four nearby school sites, each with manageable caseloads of approximately 10 students. Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure for practice as an SLP in Michigan
- Previous school-based SLP experience is preferred
- Competence working with general education and mild-moderate special education populations, including students on the autism spectrum or those with cognitive needs
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with educational teams and family members
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language services directly to students, including assessments, goal setting, and therapy
- Manage an individual caseload of approximately 10 students per school, providing both pull-out and push-in support tailored to student needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date progress notes and documentation
- Coach and consult with classroom teachers and families to promote generalization of skills
- Participate in IEP meetings, staffings, and school-based professional development activities
