School Speech Language Pathologist - Grand Blanc, Michigan

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Valid state licensure for practice as an SLP in Michigan
• Previous school-based SLP experience is preferred
• Competence working with general education and mild-moderate special education populations, including students on the autism spectrum or those with cognitive needs
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with educational teams and family members

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive speech-language services directly to students, including assessments, goal setting, and therapy
• Manage an individual caseload of approximately 10 students per school, providing both pull-out and push-in support tailored to student needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date progress notes and documentation
• Coach and consult with classroom teachers and families to promote generalization of skills
• Participate in IEP meetings, staffings, and school-based professional development activities
