School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Grand Blanc, Michigan

Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis for a maternity leave assignment. Located near the bustling community of Grand Blanc, MI, this position offers a chance to make a direct impact on students from Young 5 through 3rd grade, helping them develop essential communication skills in a supportive educational setting.

The assignment begins in mid-September, with a few days for orientation and collaboration, and concludes in December. Enjoy a consistent schedule of 6 hours per day, 4 days a week—totaling 24 hours each week—providing a balanced work-life experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
• SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
• Experience in school-based settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs for students
• Passion for working with early elementary-aged children

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students from Young 5 through 3rd grade
• Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized plans for students with communication disorders
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to best meet student needs
• Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all students
