Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
  • Valid state license to practice as an SLP in Texas
  • Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in evaluation, diagnosis, and development of treatment plans for diverse student populations
  • Strong communication and organization skills, with ability to build relationships with students, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations of students’ speech and language abilities
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy and document progress according to established guidelines
  • Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and parents to support students’ academic and social communication
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and share expertise with colleagues
  • Maintain up-to-date records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
