Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
- Valid state license to practice as an SLP in Texas
- Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in evaluation, diagnosis, and development of treatment plans for diverse student populations
- Strong communication and organization skills, with ability to build relationships with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations of students’ speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct speech-language therapy and document progress according to established guidelines
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and parents to support students’ academic and social communication
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and share expertise with colleagues
- Maintain up-to-date records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
