This position is designed for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for helping young learners achieve their communication and academic goals. The assignment will run from mid to late September through the end of December, supporting a diverse caseload of approximately 60-65 students in grades Pre-K through 5th grade.
You will have the chance to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives, providing direct therapy and collaborating closely with teachers and support staff. The workweek includes approximately 37.5 hours spread across five days, maximizing consistency and impact for the students you’ll serve.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of 60-65 students
- Familiarity with working in general education, special education resource, and self-contained life skills programs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and compliance with IEPs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide screening, assessment, and direct therapy for students in PK-5th grade
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work with educators and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Consult on strategies for classroom modifications and communication supports
- Engage in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative support environment
