Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold a current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license (TX SLP)
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting required
  • Knowledgeable in providing both therapy services and student assessments
  • Must be able to complete state-required fingerprinting promptly, if not already done
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are not eligible
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, student-centered approach

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy to a diverse caseload of students on service plans at a single elementary campus
  • Conduct thorough assessments and testing to determine student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each child’s communication goals
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEPs/service plans
  • Effectively manage a part-time schedule of 20 hours per week during the school year
  • Participate in required meetings, trainings, and school events as needed
