Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license (TX SLP)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting required
- Knowledgeable in providing both therapy services and student assessments
- Must be able to complete state-required fingerprinting promptly, if not already done
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are not eligible
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, student-centered approach
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a diverse caseload of students on service plans at a single elementary campus
- Conduct thorough assessments and testing to determine student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each child’s communication goals
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEPs/service plans
- Effectively manage a part-time schedule of 20 hours per week during the school year
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, and school events as needed
