Bring your expertise and support a caseload of 19 students ranging from kindergarten through 7th grade in a rewarding contract role for the upcoming school year.
In this position, you will provide approximately 5 hours of service each week, breaking it into two sessions of 2.5 hours. This schedule allows for focused, efficient intervention and the chance to build meaningful connections with students. Direct student support is at the heart of this role and your interventions will foster both individual progress and classroom success.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Prior experience providing speech and language therapy in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and best practices for documenting student progress
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educational staff and families
- Ability to manage a diverse, K-7 caseload efficiently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to assigned students according to their IEPs
- Track goals and document progress with clarity and precision
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student success
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Provide strategies and recommendations for classroom accommodations
