Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) required for practice in schools
  • Previous experience working with school-age children, including those with varied diagnoses and IEPs
  • Strong collaboration skills to work alongside teachers, families, and other school professionals
  • Ability to develop and implement personalized therapy plans and effectively document progress

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to determine speech and language needs in accordance with federal, state, and local mandates
  • Design and deliver targeted, evidence-based therapy for individual students and small groups
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, progress notes, and required reports
  • Educate and communicate with teachers, staff, and families regarding strategies, progress, and classroom modification recommendations
  • Support a positive, inclusive environment for all students
