Make an impact in the lives of young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working in a supportive and engaging special education setting located near Grayslake, IL. This part-time, contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting students in grades K-2 who benefit from focused speech and language services.

You'll work onsite with a small caseload of nine students, providing direct therapy and collaborating closely with educators and support staff. The role features a flexible weekly commitment of 7 hours, making it a wonderful fit for someone seeking work-life balance while making a meaningful difference.

Ideal candidates will bring expertise in school-based speech therapy and either hold or be eligible for their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Strong Clinical Fellows are also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois SLP license (screenshot must be provided at application)
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois (screenshot required)
  • Experience or special interest in serving children in special education settings, especially K-2
  • SLP-CCC strongly preferred; however, a strong CF will be considered
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Comfortable with all services delivered onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students in grades K-2
  • Participate in IEP development, implementation, and meetings
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student success
  • Attend new hire orientation (tentative dates: August 12–14)
