Desired Skills and Background:

  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Experience delivering speech-language therapy in school or pediatric settings
  • Proficiency in assessing and treating a range of communication disorders: articulation, fluency, language, and voice
  • Strong documentation and organizational abilities, familiar with regulatory compliance
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Skilled in developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, addressing diverse communication challenges
  • Conduct routine screenings and comprehensive evaluations to identify student needs
  • Create and implement personalized treatment plans in partnership with educators and parents
  • Monitor, document, and report on student progress consistent with state and district guidelines
  • Engage with teams in IEP meetings, contributing to goal development and progress reviews
  • Maintain an active caseload, ensuring high-quality and timely therapy delivery
  • Foster a positive, inclusive school environment by collaborating with staff and supporting student success
