Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
  • Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Current state licensure to practice as an SLP (or eligibility to obtain)
  • School-based experience preferred, but strong clinical skills and enthusiasm for working with pediatric populations considered
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Organization, time management, and adaptability skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and implement individualized therapy for students with diverse speech, language, and communication needs
  • Document progress and service delivery, maintaining accurate records as required by school and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, family members, and other professionals to provide well-rounded support for each student
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as a knowledgeable resource for communication strategies in the school
  • Utilize creative materials and evidence-based approaches to engage students and foster communication growth
