Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
- Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Current state licensure to practice as an SLP (or eligibility to obtain)
- School-based experience preferred, but strong clinical skills and enthusiasm for working with pediatric populations considered
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Organization, time management, and adaptability skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and implement individualized therapy for students with diverse speech, language, and communication needs
- Document progress and service delivery, maintaining accurate records as required by school and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, family members, and other professionals to provide well-rounded support for each student
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as a knowledgeable resource for communication strategies in the school
- Utilize creative materials and evidence-based approaches to engage students and foster communication growth
