You’ll be supporting two distinct caseloads: one focused exclusively on secondary education, and the other providing services in a mixed itinerant capacity across multiple school sites. Your skills and expertise will directly impact students who need intervention, therapy, and advocacy, working alongside dedicated educators and multidisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active SLP licensure and certification for school-based practice
- Previous experience working with high school and/or middle school (secondary) students
- Ability to manage both focused and itinerant caseloads efficiently
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Enthusiasm for fostering growth in students from diverse backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with a range of needs
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and implement IEPs in collaboration with school staff
- Travel between assigned schools for mixed itinerant caseload as needed
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and legal standards
- Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support strategies
- Offer consultation and training to teachers and families to support student success
