Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-8 students with speech and language development. This position offers a manageable schedule of 20-25 hours weekly, conveniently structured from approximately 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, four days a week—plus built-in time for planning and collaboration, ensuring you have what you need to provide quality support and professional growth.

You'll work with a caseload of around 25-30 students, primarily in grades K-5, presenting mostly mild speech and language needs, with a few moderate cases. The academic year engagement runs from August 2 to May 28, aligning with the school calendar for a predictable and balanced work routine.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and full certification (CCC required)
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting
  • Proficiency in conducting speech/language evaluations and writing IEPs
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Reliable and organized, able to manage caseload documentation and scheduling independently

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to K-8 students (majority K-5)
  • Complete comprehensive speech and language evaluations as needed
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to treatment planning
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal documentation requirements
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families to promote best outcomes for students
