Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant, collaborative educational environment. This full-time role runs from August 11, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with likely additional days for pre- and post-planning. The position involves working primarily at Lake Forest Elementary (3-4 days per week) and additionally at Woodmont Middle School (1-2 days per week), totaling 37.5 hours each week.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid South Carolina SLP License required
  • South Carolina Educator Certification necessary
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
  • Previous experience in school-based settings is strongly recommended
  • SLP Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) applicants may be considered; SLPAs are not eligible
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering student potential and supporting diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct therapy and consultative support to students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions
