Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting young learners as an in-person Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). This engaging role starts in mid-August and extends through January, with the potential to continue through June. You'll provide early intervention and special education services to children ages 3–5 in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) settings, impacting lives at a pivotal developmental stage.

As part of your day-to-day, you'll travel to homes and community preschools throughout East Multnomah County, collaborating closely with families and multidisciplinary teams dedicated to the growth and success of each child. Your expertise will help build foundational communication skills that set these children up for lifelong learning.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current SLP-CCC credential
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility)
  • Experience working with children ages 3–5, especially in early intervention settings
  • Strong skills in evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders in young children
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with families, educators, and community partners
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in diverse environments (homes and community settings)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, develop, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible children
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy in homes and preschools
  • Support family engagement through coaching and consultation
  • Document progress, participate in team meetings, and collaborate on service planning
  • Maintain all required records in compliance with local and federal guidelines
