A unique contract opportunity awaits for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about making a difference in school communities near the New Orleans area. This onsite position is scheduled for the 2026–2027 academic year, offering a fulfilling chance to support students’ communication development.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active state licensure or eligibility in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Ability to successfully pass district-required drug screening and fingerprinting, in addition to standard credentialing
  • Previous experience in school-based SLP roles advantageous

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to a diverse student population (caseload and age group to be determined)
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and progress reports
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment

Role Details:

  • Full-time: 35 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 7 hours daily plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), following the school calendar
  • Position start: August 7, 2026; End date: May 27, 2027
  • School assignments to be determined
