Step into a school-based role supporting students by providing high-quality speech-language pathology services during a maternity leave coverage. This full-time, contract opportunity is based exclusively onsite and covers the period from mid-September through the end of November, aligning with the school calendar and holiday breaks. You’ll work with approximately 50-60 students at the elementary level, collaborating with educational staff to help children overcome communication challenges and reach their academic potential.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active SLP license, with CCCs preferred; strong Clinical Fellows will also be considered
  • Prior school-based experience (elementary caseloads desired)
  • Deep understanding of IEP process and compliance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with children from diverse backgrounds

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and diagnostic evaluations of students’ communication disorders
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plan (IEP) goals
  • Provide direct therapy to students, both individually and in group settings
  • Maintain thorough records and prepare detailed reports
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings as a valued team member
  • Stay current with best practices in school-based SLP
