Make a positive impact on the lives of young learners as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist working with pre-kindergarten students (ages 3-5). This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 10th, 2026 through May 20th, 2027, and offers the unique experience of supporting a PreK itinerant caseload—delivering specialized services onsite and collaborating with educators and families to foster early communication skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active state licensure to practice in Louisiana, or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Experience delivering SLP services within school settings (early childhood/PreK experience preferred)
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy and evaluations for preschool students across various educational sites
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain consistent documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Consult with teachers and families to support language development strategies within classroom and home environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to support student success
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all federal, state, and district regulations
