Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY candidates considered
- Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility in a dynamic environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy and intervention tailored to diverse student populations
- Collaborate with special education teachers, classroom teachers, and parents to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school, district, and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Provide in-services or support for classroom staff on language development strategies
