A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Groton, NY, serving students in grades K-12 from September 2026 through June 2027. This contract role offers an opportunity to support approximately 35 students through assessment, individualized therapy, and collaboration with educators and families to promote student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop tailored therapy plans
  • Deliver direct therapy services addressing each student's specific communication needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement accommodations and modifications
  • Monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing to goal setting and planning
  • Provide guidance and resources to parents and caregivers to support progress outside of therapy sessions

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and educational law compliance
