This contract opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) offers the chance to work full-time, on-site, during the academic year. The position begins in mid-August and continues through the end of May, providing approximately 33.25 hours per week in a collaborative, supportive setting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Active Illinois SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before start)
  • Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of evaluation, intervention, and documentation procedures for school-aged children
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Dedication to helping students maximize their academic and social participation

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy to K-12 students based on IEP goals
  • Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely therapy documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to foster inclusive learning environments
  • Contribute to team meetings, provide staff support, and participate in relevant trainings
