This contract opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) offers the chance to work full-time, on-site, during the academic year. The position begins in mid-August and continues through the end of May, providing approximately 33.25 hours per week in a collaborative, supportive setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active Illinois SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before start)
- Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of evaluation, intervention, and documentation procedures for school-aged children
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Dedication to helping students maximize their academic and social participation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy to K-12 students based on IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Maintain accurate and timely therapy documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to foster inclusive learning environments
- Contribute to team meetings, provide staff support, and participate in relevant trainings
