Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid SLP license (or eligibility) for practice in New York
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or open to candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Experience with pediatric populations—school-based, healthcare settings, or teletherapy experience is a strong plus
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, both individually and in groups, based on IEP goals
  • Complete assessments and re-evaluations to identify students’ needs and monitor progress
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, maintaining accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute clinical expertise to teams
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to school-based therapy services
