This full-time role spans from early September through late October, with the potential for an extension through December. Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
  • Valid SLP license in New York State
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience working in a school environment, particularly with elementary-aged students
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to established therapy plans

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to students, conducting a total of 40 half-hour sessions per week
  • Develop individualized education program (IEP) goals based on student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to monitor student progress and make adjustments as necessary
  • Maintain accurate session notes, progress reports, and data tracking
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to overall student support plans
  • Foster a positive, encouraging environment that supports student achievement in communication
