This full-time contract assignment offers the chance to cover a maternity leave for the 2026/2027 school year, running from August 12th to November 1st. You’ll play a vital part in helping students communicate, thrive, and succeed within the North Haven area community.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure and CCC-SLP certification (or eligibility)
- Previous experience working in school-based settings
- Strong clinical background in serving students with complex disabilities, including significant ASD
- Excellent communication skills—collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to implement and document evidence-based interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services to students within diverse classroom environments
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized education program (IEP) goals, and monitor progress
- Adapt therapy sessions to meet the unique needs of each student
- Work collaboratively with special education teams and related services professionals
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to progress reporting, and communicate effectively with families and team members
