Speech Language Pathologist in Hamden, CT

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active state licensure
• Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes (direct therapy, consultation, progress monitoring)
• Skilled in conducting initial evaluations and re-evaluations, including comprehensive reports
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Ability to manage a caseload with multiple classifications and adapt to shifting priorities
• Comfortable with duties that may include lunch or bus supervision

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver direct SLP instruction or consultative services as outlined in student IEPs
• Complete initial and re-evaluations, compiling all necessary documentation and narrative reports
• Prepare and submit trimester progress updates for each student on your caseload
• Participate in annual review meetings and collaborate closely with educators and families
• Foster students’ communication, language, and social skills within the school community
• Assist with school responsibilities such as lunchroom monitoring or bus duty, as needed

This position runs from 7:45 am to 2:45 pm, offering a stable, full school day schedule throughout the assignment period.
