School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Hamden, Connecticut

Advance your career as a Speech-Language Pathologist making a positive impact on students near Hamden, CT. This contract, full-time opportunity involves serving a high school caseload. The position is set for Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:40 PM, providing you with consistent hours while allowing afternoons for planning, collaboration, or your own pursuits.

Preferred candidates will have experience in school settings and familiarity with high school students’ unique communication needs. This is an excellent placement for professionals with their CCC, those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or SLPs with strong motivation to grow in an educational environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut SLP licensure or certification; ASHA CCC or eligibility for CFY
• Expertise in school-based speech-language programs preferred
• Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for a range of speech and language disorders
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Adaptability and teamwork with teachers, staff, and family members

Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Deliver direct therapy services to students, predominantly in a high school setting
• Consult and collaborate with educators and families to support student success
• Maintain thorough records and comply with all legal and district guidelines
• Participate in student progress meetings and contribute as an integral part of multidisciplinary teams
